Slidin’ Stiehl was composed to celebrate the 40th anniversary season of the Southwest Ohio Symphonic Band and is dedicated to its founder, William Stiehl. The march is written in the tradition of the great circus marches and, as you can guess from the title, features the trombone section.   Exciting, fast and fun, this is sure to be the favorite of your audiences and your band members. Grade 3.

Casey at the Bat
Steven Reineke

Master arranger/composer Steven Reineke has created an imaginative and dynamic musical setting for the narration of Ernest Lawrence Thayer’s timeless poem Casey at the Bat.  Originally written for the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, this arrangement was commissioned by the United States Coast Guard Band.  Your narrator will join the ranks of James Earl Jones, Burt Reynolds and Johnny Bench all who have narrated the piece for past Cincinnati Pops performances.  Brilliant scoring and delightful original music, Steven’s setting, without a doubt, will be the hit of your next program.  Grade 4.
